No bypass, Constant Voltage
Because all the pool water passes through our cell and because the cell is always energized when operating, your pool water is constantly being shocked. The result is picture perfect water.
Bypass systems used on some competitive units restrict flow through their cell, resulting in only a fraction of the water being shocked in the cell (the majority of the water bypasses the cell and is totally unaffected by the chlorine generator). Timers on other competitive units turn the voltage on and off periodically each hour to regulate chlorine production. The result is no shocking of the pool water during the parts of the hour that the voltage is off. Some competitors use both bypass systems and timers. Only Comfort-Chlor gives you continuous 100% shocking.
